Clark Hulings

Born in Florida and raised in New Jersey, Clark Hulings lived in Spain, New York, Louisiana and throughout Europe before settling in Santa Fe, New Mexico, in the early 1970's. His art training began as a teenager with Sigismund Ivanowsky and George Bridgman and concluded at the Art Students League with Frank Reilly.

With a degree in physics from Haverford College, Pennsylvania, Hulings complemented his intellectual knowledge with emotional observations made during painting trip throughout the Western hemisphere. After initial careers in portraiture and illustration, he devoted himself to easel painting and for the past forty years his art has been eagerly sought after by collectors, museums and corporations.

Huling's paintings have been accorded well deserved awards by organisations such as the Allied Artists of America, the Hudson Valley Art Association and the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. His work has been the subject of countless articles, reviews and two books, Hulings - A Collection of Paintings (Lowell Press, 1976) and A Gallery of Paintings by Clark Hulings (White Burro Publishing, 1986).
